Memorial Do Genocídio De Kigali

O Memorial do Genocídio de Kigali em Kigali, Ruanda, é um comovente tributo às vítimas do Genocídio de 1994 contra os Tutsis. Inaugurado no 10º aniversário do genocídio, este memorial em Gisozi homenageia as 250.000 vidas perdidas e educa sobre as atrocidades dos genocídios do século XX.

O projeto em curso, o Muro dos Nomes, comemora os falecidos, com muitos nomes ainda aguardando documentação. Os jardins do memorial oferecem um espaço sereno para reflexão sobre a história do genocídio, instando-nos a todos a assumir a responsabilidade pessoal na prevenção da discriminação e das atrocidades em massa.

Além disso, o centro estende apoio aos sobreviventes, especialmente órfãos e viúvas, incorporando o compromisso de Ruanda com a paz, reconciliação e combate às ideologias genocidas. While physically demanding, the reward of encountering gorillas makes the trek worthwhile. To ensure safety for all, strict rules are in place, requiring visitors to adhere to instructions from park rangers. Securing permits in advance is essential, as they tend to sell out quickly. Please note that a permit for Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi Forest costs $800 per person per day, with a minimum age requirement of 14 years.
